PROGRAM
Departure from Huaraz by private transportation, getting through Callejon Huayalas. On the way, you can see some towns – Carhuaz, Yungay, Caraz, from the last town the vehicle will take a detour towad Cashapampa located at 2850 m. There, the donkey driver will be waiting to carry the luggage with his donkeys. Start the hike toward Llamacorral, where our staff will set up the campsite
*3 hours drive / 4-5 hours walk
Departure early in the morning, passing by the beautiful lagoons Ichiccocha (3850 m and Hatuncocha 3900 m). The path will go in a zigzag until Taullipampa Campsite (4200 m) from where you can admire the view of the mountains around.
*5-6 hours walk
After an early breakfast, start the hike up towad Punta Union Pass (4750 m). It offers magnificent views on Taulliraju, Artesonraju, Pukajircas, Quitaraju, Alpamayo mountains and on some lagoons. Descent to Tuctupampa (4200 m), where you spend the night.
*4-5 hours walk
After breakfast, you start an approximately 3 hours ascent to Pucajirca Pass (4640 m ). Enjoying on the way spectacular views of some mountains: Chacraraju, Taulliraju, Chopicalqui, and others. Descent on a zigzag trail to Quisuar Campsite (3950 m), passing by the Huecroncocha lake.
*4-5 hours walk
Walk for approximately 3 hours to Tupatupa Pass (4400 m). then descent to Pucajirca Base Camp, and finally to Jancapampa Camping (3600 m), where you spend the night.
*4-5 hours walk
Early breakfast. Hike up to Yanacon Pass (4610 m), enjoying the amazing landscapes. From the pass, descent to Huillca Camping 4000 m.
*4-5 hours walk
A short walk of 2 hours approx. to Mesapata Pass (4460 m). From there, go along Moyobamba Valley toward Caracara Pass 4000 m and finally get to Tayapampa, place where our staff will set up the campsite.
After breakfast, we will ascent to Caracara Pass (4830 m ), enjoying the landscapes. From the pass, we will spot the North side of some mountains like Alpamayo, Quitaraju, Santa Cruz, and others. After a two hours descent, we will get to our next camping – Ruinapampa 4100 m.
You continue the trek walking for 4 hours aprox. on a zigzag trail until Ichickvientona Pass (4770 m ). It offers spectacular view on Milluaraju and Santa Cruz mountains. You keep on walking for one hour to the next campsite – Osoruri 4560 m
*4-5 hours walk
The hike starts with a short walk to Jatunvientonan (4860 m). Later, descent to Cullicocha Lake. From there, you can see the base camp of Santa Cruz Mountain. Arrive to the last camping of our trekking – Calamina 3900 m where you spend your last night at the countryside
*4-5 hours walk
After having breakfast, you descend for 3 hours, until Hualcayan (3000 m). Our private transport will be waiting for you at Huascaran National Park checking point. Transffer to Huaraz.

SOME SUGGESTIONS:
You must take:
- A personal backpack 35 lts. aprox.
- Rainproof gear
- Trekking boots
- Sandals or light sneakers
- Warm clothes, including jacket, polar linings, gloves, scarf and hat. Thermal clothing is also recommended, especially for sleeping
- Flashlight and extra batteries.
- Camera and extra battery.
- Hat or cap to protect from the sun, rain and cold.
- 60 ° sunblock
- Toilet paper, inside and outside the luggage.
- Your own medical kit with any special medication you may need, acetaminophen, blister protection, etc.
- Small towel.
- Swimwear (if you want to take a bath in the hot spring)
- Walking stick.
